Urban Farm Day 2022 at Pelion Garden
This huge outdoor classroom engages 200+ students with the natural world and enriches their curriculum through hands-on learning opportunities. Topics include plants, nutrition, science, sustainable agriculture, eco-literacy and stewardship. We’ve transformed four vacant lots across from City Honors into a space that’s 50% edible, has pollinator buffets for native bees, a vertical growing space, a First Nation planting area, fruit trees and one of the largest rain gardens in the City.
